17th Phuket International Rugby Tens 2015

We are now coming to the countdown for the 2015 Phuket International Rugby 10s
There will be a full contingent of 20 teams in the open tournament with the only maybe on the list being Bedok Kings who have had a couple of their guys deciding that getting married on the same weekend as the 10s was a good idea !! Great timing boys !!
We have other teams waiting in the wings to take their place & the decision will be made next week.
We have had 2 new additions for the Athena Siam Coffin Dodgers Tournament with the Nerang Bulls from Australia entering a vets as well as an open side and the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP Veteran Rugby Club) coming to the party.
The group and knock out stages of the vets will be played on Friday 29th May with the finals to be played on Sunday as a curtain raiser to the open tournament finals.
The now famous Tour Virgin Beauty Pageant will once again be held on the Saturday night at the Taipan located at the top end of Bangla Rd so get your thinking caps on as to what the virgins will be wearing during the evenings entertainment.
Registration for both the Vets ( Thursday ) and open ( Friday ) tournaments will be held at Hooters Phuket which is attached to the Dusit D2 Resort from 20.30 onwards on both days and is open to all so if your in town early come on down.
As mentioned previously we have a partner hotel this year with the Dusit D2 in Patong offering the excellent rate of 1999 baht NET per room twin or double including breakfast. This is a rugby friendly HOTEL WITH plenty of pools and bars to enjoy and wash away the rigours of the days play. the code for bookings is "Phuket Rugby 2015 "
The Phuket International hospital will provide basic medical coverage at the ground but please note that we suggest that players have medical insurance in case hospitalization is required
We are offering insurance coverage and a quote can be obtained by going to our website on www.phuketrugby10s.com and filling out the form on the home page. Just note that level 2 is required for rugby coverage.
We will again be raising funds for the Asia Center Foundation and the kids scholarship program that has been so successful in a large part from the support that teams at the 10s have given over the years.
We will send out the social calender closer to the event but bear in mind that we will again host the Tour virgin beauty Pageant on the Saturday night which has become as important to win as the main event.
